The “Save Map” tool is located in the right-hand menu bar, and allows users to save a particular map configuration (e.g., data layers selection, geographic zoom, and timeframe).  By clicking on the icon, users are provided a description of the current map settings, including visible species, active data layers, and both time and location settings.

The unique link generated by clicking the “Create Link” button will lead to this specific map, under all the selected parameters. This allows users to bookmark maps for future use or share them with other users, who can then go on to utilize the full suite of HABhub features..
